About the Campaign

The ‘Has it Clicked Yet?’ campaign strives to reduce road fatalities and injuries by asking young drivers and passengers to recognise the importance of seatbelts and aims to reintegrate ‘buckling up’ correctly as a routine habit.

The campaign promotes seatbelt usage as a positive and intuitive behaviour that takes up little time but makes a big difference. This attitude and tone help to instil a culture of safety on the road for young road users. The ‘Has it Clicked Yet?’ campaign was selected as the Re:act University campaign for 2025 in Victoria.

Findings from the TAC’s 2024 Road Safety Monitor Report reveal that individuals aged 18 to 25 are the most likely to travel without wearing a seatbelt as both a passenger (10.5%) and driver (6.4%).

So, we asked ourselves, why hasn’t it clicked yet for young drivers and passengers? This question became the catalyst for our campaign, as we aimed to address the complacency of the younger demographic around proper seatbelt use.

Tips on how to wear your seatbelt

Adjust your seatbelt so that:

  • Seatbelt is clicked in

  • The lap belt fits firmly across your pelvis, under your stomach and above your thighs

  • The sash:

    • Crosses your chest diagonally

    • Sits across your shoulder

    • Does not rub against your neck or upper arm. Many cars allow you to adjust the shoulder strap height.

  • It isn't twisted or slack

About The Team

Hi! We are Isabelle, Ezra, Kivian, Chloe, Veronica, and Gabriel, the designers behind the Has it Clicked Yet? Campaign created as part of the Re:act program at Swinburne University of Technology in Victoria.

We were fortunate enough to be a part of the Re:act program, an amazing opportunity to develop our creative skills and make a lasting impact on road safety.

We have learned so much about the design industry by participating in Re:act, and the program also opened our eyes to the depth of knowledge and work that goes into protecting drivers and other road users on our roads.
